The solera is the mould used to bring together all the components of the guitar in the Spanish traditional method. This means that the neck and body are joined together at the start of the assembly ensuring that you have an accurate and consistent neck angle in relation to the body of the guitar.
In this 4-hour long video I explain the different types of solera moulds that you can use, and I go on to build and show in detail how to make the type of solera mould that I use to build my own instruments.
